Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has pledged his future to the club by signing a new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The 24-year-old joined the Gunners' academy in 2010 and has played twice in the EFL Cup this season.
Martinez is behind Petr Cech and David Ospina in the pecking order but has decided to extend his stay at the club.
"If you look at him, I personally see all the top qualities that a goalkeeper needs," manager Arsene Wenger told Arsenal Player.
"He has the stature, he has the passion, he has the technical quality, he has the decision-making, he has huge power and he's not frightened of anything."
Martinez, who has made 10 first-team appearances for Arsenal, has spent time on loan at Oxford, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Wolves.
He is likely to feature for Arsenal in their EFL Cup quarter-final home tie against Southampton on Wednesday.
