Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is confident Alexis Sanchez will be '100 per cent committed' to the club despite his Deadline Day move to Manchester City failing to materialise.
City will try for Sanchez in January
Manchester City have not given up on Alexis Sanchez and will try to sign him again when the window re-opens in January
Sanchez's Arsenal contract runs out next summer and he will be able to discuss a move with foreign clubs as soon as 2018 begins.
But Wenger feels sure the Chile international striker will continue to play at his maximum for the Gunners even if he does decide to pursue a move away from the club.
"Your interest is always to perform and he is 100 per cent committed, I have no doubt about that," Wenger told beIN SPORTS.
"It's very difficult for me to speak about what happened because what I want the player to do now is focus on his career, on his season and on Arsenal Football Club.
"I spoke before about integrity and values and I always make sure my commitment is at the level expected from the people who pay me and have confidence in me.
"I think the players' side is exactly the same."

Wenger also revealed that Sanchez's move to City was very far from being completed.
"It was not very close, it's very difficult for me to speak about that because what I want now is the player to focus on his career, on his season and Arsenal," he said.
"I always think first, make sure that my commitment is at the level that is expected from people paying me and have confidence in me. On the player's side it is exactly the same."
