SEAMAN-IT'S A BALLS UP

ARSENAL and England goalkeeper David Seaman has blamed the new ball used in the Premiership for his inconsistent form in goal this season.

The former QPR stopper feels that the new Nike ball is a lot different from the balls used last year and that this is causing all sorts of problems for keepers this season.

"Arsenal have let in a few more goals than we used to do," said Seaman. "I don't know what it is, but the balls are a hell of a lot different to last season. They're hard to deal with.

"Against Chelsea on Wednesday, Jimmy Hasselbaink had a shot which I thought was going wide. I was preparing for a goal-kick, then it hit the post."

"The footballs are like the beach balls you used to get when you were young. Kick them and they would go all over the place, that is what this ball is doing," said Seaman.
