Nicolas Anelka admits he would enjoy the chance to work with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger again.
The French striker was originally brought to the Premiership by Wenger almost 10 years ago and retains affection for his compatriot.
The well-travelled front man is now back in England after joining Bolton Wanderers in a club record deal from Fenerbahce last August.
He has impressed at The Reebok Stadium, but Anelka concedes he would welcome the opportunity to play under Wenger once more.
"Coming back to Arsenal would be great," Anelka told French television.
"They are a great club, who are solid and serious.
"Arsene Wenger is one of the best coaches in the world and I can't hide that the club marked my life forever.
"I have spent some great moments here."
Meanwhile, reports claim Bolton are looking to bring in Slovakian centre-half Lubomir Michalik to boost Sam Allardyce's defensive options.
