Gunners keen on Anderlecht's Argentine midfielder
The agent of Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia claims Arsenal are among a clutch of clubs to have expressed an interest in his client.
The 25-year-old has spent the last five years in Belgium, with his profile having risen steadily since his arrival in 2006.
He has made over 150 appearances for Anderlecht and forced his way into the Argentina senior set-up earlier in 2011.
His progress has been noted by clubs across Europe, with reports suggesting he is drawing admiring glances from Italy and England.
Biglia's agent has now confirmed as much, with it possible that the highly-rated holding midfielder could be on his way to Serie A or the Premier League during the winter transfer window.
Talks
"I know that Fiorentina officials went to Belgium to have a look at him and that they spoke to Anderlecht about trying to sign him in January," Enzo Montepaone told
calciomercato.com.
"Interest from AC Milan? Yes, I can confirm that there has been in the past, but there has never been anything concrete.
"Fiorentina's interest is real, but Arsenal also like him a lot.
"Italy has always been his dream and, as he holds an Italian passport, a move to Italy is very likely.
"It is, however, important to pay attention to Arsenal."
