Brazilian midfielder expected to head back to London

Sao Paulo loanee Denilson looks set to be heading back to Arsenal after the club president admitted they are unable to afford his transfer fee. The 24-year-old midfielder joined the Brazilian club on a season-long loan last summer after failing to hold down a regular starting role under Arsene Wenger. Now the Morumbi club president, Juvenal Juvencio, is keen on keeping the midfielder at the club for another season, albeit only on loan. "Denilson won't stay," Juvencio told UOL. "Arsenal want €6million (£4.9million) for him, but we won't pay that so we expect him to leave soon. "Of course we will try to get the loan deal extended for another year, but it won't be easy."
