Arsenal youngster Ryan Huddart is set to be on the bench for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Anderlecht due to the goalkeeping crisis at the club.

No.1 keeper Wojciech Szczesny is suspended following his sending off against Galatasaray last time out in the Champions League, while summer signing David Ospina is missing through injury.

Emiliano Martinez is expected to start against Anderlecht and it seems 17-year-old Huddart is set to get the nod to provide cover for Martinez on the bench in Belgium.

Huddart, Josh Vickers, Matt Macey all trained with the first-team on Tuesday, but Arsene Wenger is set to place his faith in Huddart in his side to take on Anderlecht.

Huddart, who joined Arsenal three years ago from Charlton for £250,000, is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at the Emirates, with the teenager tipped for a bright future at the club.

The 6ft 4in shot-stopper under the guidance of his agent, John Morris, of KeySports signed a pro-deal with Arsenal in March and has been a regular in the Under 21s side this season.

His form and progress has not gone unnoticed by Wenger with the Frenchman feeling the England youth international has all the attributes to be a future No.1 at Arsenal.
