Everton have agreed a deal to sign 17-year-old Matty Foulds from Bury.
The teenage defender will make the move to Goodison Park for an undisclosed fee in January.
Foulds, who is a left-footed centre-half, came through the youth ranks at Gigg Lane, before signing his first professional contract in February.
He has two senior appearances under his belt after making his debut for Bury as a second-half substitute in the 4-1 Capital One Cup defeat to Leicester City in August.
Foulds then played the full 90 minutes as the Shakers beat Accrington Stanley in the Football League Trophy the following month.
As well as the recruitment of Foulds, Everton boss Roberto Martinez has again insisted the likes of John Stones will not be sold.
