With an FA Cup semi-final just over one week away, Everton have concerns over a number of players who are doubtful for Saturday's visit of Southampton.
Manager Roberto Martinez said six players are on the treatment table, four of whom sustained "minor knocks" in midweek, and may not feature at home to Saints.
Phil Jagielka and Tom Cleverley are still not yet ready to return, while Leighton Baines, Aaron Lennon, Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku suffered niggles at Goodison Park on Wednesday.
Looking ahead to this weekend's game, the Toffees' boss said: "Leighton, Aaron and Ross will be assessed. They picked up knocks against Crystal Palace.
"Obviously, James (McCarthy) will be missing through suspension. Romelu has been carrying a little bit of a problem and we're going to assess if he can make the squad or not.
"In the Crystal Palace game he stretched during in the second half and he felt his groin slightly.
"He didn't train Thursday and we're hoping he can train today (Friday) and we'll assess him from there.
"I don't think any of those are long-term. They are more the effect of a lot of games in this period, and it's probably a question of hours rather than weeks."
Everton face Manchester United at Wembley on Saturday, April 23, with the winners progressing to the final of the FA Cup next month.
