Seamus Coleman looks set to miss the Merseyside derby and the FA Cup semi-final after limping out of Everton's draw with Southampton on Saturday.

Coleman was forced off after just under an hour against the Saints with a hamstring injury leaving manager Roberto Martinez sweating on injuries ahead of Wednesday's trip to Anfield and Saturday's showdown with Manchester United at Wembley.

Paul Merson believes this week could determine the future of Roberto Martinez as Everton manager

Fellow defenders Phil Jagiellka and Leighton Baines both missed the 1-1 draw at Goodison Park along with midfielders Tom Cleverley and Aaron Lennon.

"Obviously Seamus felt his hamstring," said Martinez.. "We're going to assess him in the morning but it will be hard to see him being involved this week. That sort of injury will take a bit longer than a week.

"Tom Cleverley and Phil Jagielka we need to see at the end of the week, but Leighton Baines and Aaron Lennon I'm sure we're going to have a clear idea on them on Monday or Tuesday.

Roberto Martinez says he's pleased with the manner in which Everton secured a point in their 1-1 draw with Southampton

"We'll have to regroup again as we did after the Crystal Palace game. We've had to fight adversity in the last two games; we had 10 men for over 40 minutes against Palace and we showed a real resilience, and today we had to face a team with a really fresh energy about them and we coped in a different manner.
