Middlesbrough are in talks with Everton over a loan deal for midfielder Muhamed Besic, according to Sky sources.

The 25-year-old Bosnian joined Everton from Hungarian side Ferencvaros in 2014 but has made just eight appearances this season with only two coming in the Premier League.

Besic, who has made 37 appearances in total for Everton, has also been subject to interest from Torino.

Sky Sports News understands Boro manager Tony Pulis is also interested in signing New York City winger Jack Harrison on loan, but only if Manchester City buy him from the MLS club before the window shuts.
