Everton will play pre-season matches against Lille and FC Porto next month after they were confirmed to be one of the teams participating in the Algarve Football Cup.

The trip to Portugal for the three team mini-tournament will mean a return to his homeland for new Everton manager Marco Silva.

The games will be played at Faro's Estádio Algarve over the weekend of Friday, July 20 to Sunday, July 22.

Everton will face French side Lille on Saturday, July 21, with kick-off at 8pm (BST).

Then, on Sunday, July 22, the Toffees will play Portuguese champions FC Porto, also at 8pm.

Everton last faced Lille in the Europa League group stage during the 2014/15 season, drawing 0-0 in the first leg in France, before winning the return 3-0.

The last time Everton played Porto was a 1-1 draw at Goodison for Leon Osman's testimonial in August 2014.

These are the fourth and fifth first-team pre-season fixtures to be confirmed, following the earlier announcement of matches against Bury (Wednesday, July 18), Blackburn Rovers (Thursday, July 26 ) and Valencia (Saturday, August 4).
