Everton have insisted midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye is not for sale despite strong interest from Paris St Germain, Sky Sports News understands.
The French league leaders were reported to have made a £22m bid for the 29-year-old on Tuesday, but it is believed Everton have not received any offers for the Senegal international and would not welcome any.
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel is understood to be very keen on signing Gueye with Adrien Rabiot and Lassana Diarra likely to be on the way out of Paris.
Due to Financial Fair Play concerns, PSG can only afford to pay £26m for Gueye so they are on the lookout for alternatives, with Zenit St Petersburg's Leandro Paredes and Borussia Dortmund's Julian Weigl also being targeted.
