Delaye wants quick Toffees decision

EVERTON trialist Philippe Delaye is hoping to get a quick decision over whether or not he is going to be offered a deal at Goodison Park.

The Rennes ace has been on Merseyside for over a week and he is happy with how things have gone so far, although he wants his future resolved soon.

"It went off smoothly. I should have come back on Friday, but the English officials asked me to stay two more days to watch the encounter against Fulham," Delaye told France Football.

"Then, they extended my trial until Wednesday. I need a quick answer, because I don't have time to lose.

"Of course I am not on the street as I have a contract with Rennes. But I can understand Rennes don't really rely on me."

Everton boss David Moyes is in the market for a new midfielder and wants another look at Delaye before making up his mind on him.
