Wrexham hire Ruddy

Everton goalkeeper John Ruddy has agreed to join Wrexham on a one-month loan deal.

Ruddy, who cost Everton £250,000 from Cambridge in 2005, spent time on loan at Stockport earlier in the season before being recalled by the Premiership club.

He has been sent out again to gain some more first-team experience, and should go straight into Wrexham's squad to face Peterborough on Saturday provided the paperwork is completed in time.

Dragons boss Brain Carey is looking to reinforce his squad this week and has already brought in Scott Barron on a month's loan from Ipswich.

Mark Carvill, a free agent after leaving Charlton last month, is also believed to be close to signing.
