Everton have announced the signing of winger Aaron Lennon from Tottenham on a three-year deal.
Lennon spent the second half of last season on loan at Goodison Park and has now joined permanently for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £4m to £4.5m.
The 28-year-old's career has stalled since Mauricio Pochettino took over as Spurs boss and he, along with striker Emmanuel Adebayor, was not issued a first-team squad number for this season by the club.
Everton faced a race against time to get the paperwork for the transfer completed before Tuesday's 6pm deadline but managed to get the deal done, to the delight of manager Roberto Martinez.
"We are delighted to welcome Aaron back to Everton," said Martinez. "We know we are getting a player our fans know inside-out.
"He had a major role in the second half of our season and we're looking forward to Aaron kicking on and continuing to enjoy his football, as well as being the productive player we know he can be.
"He is well-respected in the dressing room, his experience in the Premier League is immense, and he will immediately add to our squad and to the ambition we have as a club."
Lennon was Everton's second deadline-day signing, following the capture of Argentinian defender Ramiro Funes Mori from River Plate for £9.5m.
