Irish stopper enjoying life at Elland Road
Defender Andy O'Brien says it was an easy decision to agree to an extension on his Leeds loan deal.
The 31-year-old centre-half is currently on loan at Elland Road from Bolton Wanderers and Saturday's game at Reading was due to be his last for the Whites.
However, the Championship club have now secured his services until 4th January, and reports suggest he could move permanently in the transfer window.
O'Brien's arrival has seen an upturn in form at Leeds and the former Republic of Ireland international is enjoying his time in West Yorkshire.
"It was an easy decision," he told the club's
official website.
"When I first signed I said my stay would be dictated by results and touch wood we've picked up some good results.
"The draws were unfortunate, it would have been nice to have picked up maximum points, but we're five games unbeaten and we go to Reading in good spirits.
"From a personal point of view I'm delighted things have gone okay and Leeds want to keep me."
O'Brien has made five appearances for the sleeping giants and has scored one goal in the process.
Leeds go to Reading at the weekend looking to make it six games without defeat and the former Bradford, Newcastle and Portsmouth man says confidence in the camp is high.
He added: "I remember my first day in training was very quiet and I said to one of the lads 'is it a sponsored silence in warm-ups?'
"He explained they had lost four of the last five and just suffered a bad defeat against Cardiff so I suppose that is a testament, because it's loud and bubbly and bright.
"You pick up confidence from winning games. Even players that have not played as much as they would have liked have played a massive part.
"There was an air of it being a big game at Norwich last weekend and the feeling will be the same going to Reading.
"There's a lot of interesting points about the game. It's away from home, but we've done well away from home."
