Highlights of the League One match between Reading and Notts County.

In-form striker Jack Marriott struck twice as Reading clinched their third successive home win in League One with a 2-0 victory over Notts County.

Chances were few and far between in a low-key first half but Reading broke the deadlock through top scorer Marriott four minutes into the second period.

Marriott grabbed his eighth goal of the season in the 72nd minute as the Royals comfortably secured the three points.

It was County who could have gone in front early on but Nick Tsaroulla saw his well-struck free kick fly narrowly over the crossbar.

Reading gradually emerged from their slumber, with Marriott seeing a close-range header blocked near the goal line and skipper Lewis Wing firing tamely at County keeper James Belshaw.

Four minutes after the break, Royals broke the deadlock when Marriott stooped to acrobatically nod in a Haydon Roberts cross.

Marriott almost added another soon after, only for Belshaw to produce a spectacular save from his fierce shot, but he was not to be denied a second for long.
