Portsmouth appear set to miss out on a January move for Nikola Zigic following the striker's return to form at Valencia.
The Serbian forward was expected to leave the Mestalla in the transfer window and Pompey were reported to be keen on a loan move.
However, Valencia coach Ronald Koeman has abandoned plans for the departure of Zigic, who is also rumoured to be a target of Real Sociedad, following a series of impressive performances.
And Zigic insists he is happy to remain at Valencia while he is enjoying opportunities in Koeman's first-team.
"I want to play minutes and I am happy if finally the boss gives me chances," Zigic told Spanish media.
