Mousa Dembele insists Tottenham must match Bournemouth for commitment, if they are to avoid a second defeat in the space of four days.

Spurs travel to the south coast to face the Cherries in the Premier League on Sunday on the back of a Europa League loss to Anderlecht in Belgium on Thursday.

But despite their stuttering form in Europe this season, Mauricio Pochettino's side are unbeaten in the Premier League since the opening weekend of the campaign, a run which earned the Argentinian the Barclays Manager of the Month award for September.

But Dembele knows the north London club must bounce back against Eddie Howe's men on Sunday.

The Belgian said: "Some promoted sides play more football than others but I think they all have the same thing and that is fight.

"They fight a lot and want to win the game. We can't make the same mistake as we did against Anderlecht - they wanted to win the game much more than us.

"Against Anderlecht, we started well and could have won 4-0."

As for Bournemouth, he added: "I have seen them play a few times and we know any team in England, if they come from the Championship, they will be very motivated."

Dembele also says there is plenty of competition for places at White Hart Lane: "We have lots of good players and if you want to be there on top you have to have this.

"Every top team has this competition and it is quite good. It makes us play better and better to stay in the team."
