Tottenham youngsters Harry Winks and Shayon Harrison have expressed their delight at training with England's senior players at the club's training ground on Monday.

England, including Spurs seniors Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Ryan Mason, Eric Dier and Kyle Walker, were training at Hotspur Way ahead of their friendly against France at Wembley on Tuesday

Winks, 19, is a member of Spurs' first-team squad and has made two appearances this season. He represented England U20s in a friendly against France last week.

Harrison, who turned 18 in the summer, is a regular in Tottenham's U21s and both are tipped to follow the likes of Kane by making the breakthrough at both Spurs and senior England level.

Winks said: "It was brilliant, surreal really. I got a phone call last night from our head of player development John McDermott telling me to come in early, and he didn't give a reason. I came in and found out that I'd be training with the England seniors.

"I gave my family a call to let them know and they were delighted. We were soon out there on the pitches and I loved every minute of it. The fact that there were some Spurs players in the group was certainly helpful in terms of easing into it all.

"For me, the chance to train with top quality, world-class players, who are legends of the Premier League and Champions League, can only inspire me to get to where they are. I'd love to follow in their footsteps one day."

Harrison added: "It was a fantastic experience, a great learning curve and it's still sinking in really.

"To train with England is a big pleasure and I'm very grateful for the opportunity. Wayne Rooney is one of the best strikers in our country in my opinion and it was great to train with him, plus of course Harry Kane, who I look up to immensely.

"I was allowed to keep my training jersey afterwards so I'm very grateful for that too - I'll certainly treasure it."
