Harry Kane is confident Tottenham will bounce back from Wednesday's defeat against West Ham at Upton Park and maintain their title charge.

Spurs went into the match as favourites knowing three points would see them leapfrog Leicester at the top of the Premier League table on goal difference.

An early header by Michail Antonio proved decisive, but England striker Kane insists the upcoming north London derby affords them the ideal opportunity to get their title push back on track.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic says his side should have won by more after they beat Tottenham 1-0

"There's a long way to go in the league and we're staying focused," Kane said. "Of course we have enough energy for the rest of the season. We're one of the fittest teams in the league, so if anyone can cope with it, we can.

"It's another big derby game on Saturday and we're looking forward to it. We've been good at home in recent times so we've just got to keep playing the way we have.

"We're confident. We feel we can beat anyone in the league. We've just got to go out and put in a better performance than tonight."

Kane has rubbished suggestions the pressure of having the chance to lead their title-chasing rivals into the final 10 games of the season was to blame for their fourth league defeat of the campaign.

Tottenham's Ryan Mason was disappointed to concede from a set-piece in a narrow defeat to West Ham

"I don't think the prize of the night got to us," he said. "Everyone else is talking about going top and winning the league, but we're just taking it game by game.

"West Ham just played a longer ball and we couldn't get at the second balls, and got punished for it. It was a disappointing performance and a missed opportunity but there's nothing we can do about it now."
