Eric Dier said his last-gasp winner for England over Germany in Saturday's 3-2 friendly victory was made all the sweeter by the fact he was able to share the moment with some of his Tottenham team-mates.
Dier, one of four Spurs players in the starting line-up in Berlin, rose at the near post to head past Manuel Neuer in stoppage time and complete a fine comeback for Roy Hodgson's side, having fallen 2-0 down midway through the second half.
Spurs triker Harry Kane had begun the recovery with an excellent goal, while Dele Alli and Danny Rose also impressed at the Olympiastadion.
"That is one of the best feelings I've felt in football so far," said Dier after his first international goal. "It was amazing. To be able to score for England is great, let alone here in Germany.
"It was fantastic. And to do it with all my mates from Spurs was even better.
"I feel comfortable in the team, but it's not just down to the Tottenham players. Obviously that helps, but all the boys make everyone feel very comfortable and it's a young team in general, with lots of energy and optimism.
"It's not just the Spurs lads, there's a lot of lads in there who play with the same aggression and optimism we do. It's always better to win than to lose and that's always more optimistic, but we have to keep our feet grounded.
"It was a great win, but it's a friendly and there will a lot harder tests to come and we have to keep working."
Kane, who is the Premier League's top scorer with 21 goals this season, added: "It was a great night for English football. To be 2-0 down, which probably wasn't deserved as we were playing well, and then turn it around and win 3-2 was special.
"I thought the team were excellent tonight and we fully deserved the win, and that can give us great confidence going forward.
"Goals change games and my goal came at the right time and really gave us a boost for the final 20 minutes or so. It was important but the lads never gave in.
"We kept going and kept going and got the three goals which ain't easy in Germany."
