Hugo Lloris has suffered a hamstring problem and will be assessed by Tottenham on Sunday, manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed.

The France goalkeeper was forced off after 35 minutes of Spurs' Premier League opener against Everton on Saturday, which finished 1-1.

Lloris was replaced by Michel Vorm after falling awkwardly into the corner of the net when he failed to keep out Ross Barkley's opener.

Pochettino told Sky Sports: "It is his hamstring. We need to assess tomorrow and then we see what happen.

"His injury had an impact on us and they scored very early, and we did not play very well in the first half."

Lloris played every game for France as they reached the European Championship final earlier in the summer, and only returned to pre-season training two weeks ago.
