Wolfsburg are interested in signing Tottenham's Heung-Min Son, according to Sky Germany.
Sources in the country have also indicated the South Korea forward has shown an interest in joining Wolfsburg.
Sky Germany believe any potential fee would be around £17.2m and that Wolfsburg are not the only club interested in signing the player.
However, Sky sources understand Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and his technical staff still have high hopes for Son and he remains part of the manager's plans for the forthcoming season.
Wolfsburg are understood to be keen on Son even if striker Bas Dost was to remain at the club. Dost would be allowed to leave if a sufficient offer was received, which hasn't happened yet, according to their sporting director Klaus Allofs.
Son, who joined Tottenham last summer in an £18m deal from Bayer Leverkusen, has not played for Spurs yet this season due to his participation in South Korea's team at the Olympics in Rio.
Earlier in the summer, he said he was aware of speculation over his future but was determined to make his second season at White Hart Lane more of a success than the first.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are expected to part company with DeAndre Yedlin and Nacer Chadli before the transfer deadline on August 31.
