Hull have opened talks with Tottenham over a deal for midfielder Ryan Mason, according to Sky sources.
The 25-year-old has fallen behind Eric Dier, Moussa Dembele and new signing Victor Wanyama in the pecking order for places in Mauricio Pochettino's midfield.
Pochettino is also keen to bring through promising youngster Harry Winks in the defensive-midfield positions.
It is understood Hull are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing Mason, who is a product of Tottenham's academy, before the transfer deadline.
Before his resignation, former Hull manager Steve Bruce admitted he was interested in Mason, who has one England cap.
