Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld looks to be on the mend once more after returning to first-team training.

The Belgian centre-back missed the Champions League defeat to Juventus at Wembley on Wednesday with a hamstring problem.

The 29-year-old had already missed three months of this season with a hamstring injury before returning in the FA Cup match against Newport on February 7.

The club tweeted on Friday: "Alderweireld is in the early stages of integrating in parts of first team training."

Tottenham also revealed that midfielder Eric Dier suffered an elbow injury against Juventus and was being assessed ahead of Sunday's match at Bournemouth, live on Sky Sports.
