Tottenham striker Harry Kane has posted a shot of himself on social media walking unaided just nine days after suffering an ankle ligament injury.

The 25-year-old was injured in the last seconds of Tottenham's defeat to Manchester United and was not expected to return to training for another month, as the club confirmed in a statement at the time: "The striker will continue to be monitored by our medical staff as he commences rehabilitation and is expected to return to training in early March."

But Kane seems determined to return ahead of that as evidenced by a post on his Instagram stories on Thursday.

Kane is one of several key players currently unavailable for manager Mauricio Pochettino with Dele Alli also out injured and Heung-Min Son on international duty with South Korea

An early return to action would offer a huge boost for the club as they take on Chelsea in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday evening, with the final to be played on February 24.
