Heung-Min Son is free to return to Tottenham after South Korea were knocked out of the Asian Cup on Friday.
South Korea were beaten 1-0 by Qatar in the quarter-finals meaning Son will no longer need to be in Abu Dhabi for the semi-finals on January 29 or the final on February 1.
It will be a major boost for Tottenham who were without Son, Harry Kane and Dele Alli for the Carabao Cup semi-final defeat at Chelsea on Thursday evening.
Kane and Alli are expected to be ruled out until March with ankle and hamstring injuries respectively, so the 26-year-old's return will be welcome news for Mauricio Pochettino with a spate of games in the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup looming in the next few weeks.
Son is unlikely to be back in time for the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Crystal Palace on Sunday but he could potentially feature in the Premier League game against Watford at Wembley next Wednesday.
Further home games against Newcastle and Leicester follow at the beginning of February, both live on Sky Sports, before the first leg of the Champions League tie at Wembley against Borussia Dortmund on February 13.
