West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has hit out at Tottenham over their pursuit of Eidur Gudjohnsen.
The East London club are in the hunt for the Iceland striker but despite the 31-year-old having completed a medical at Upton Park he may opt to join Spurs on loan from Monaco instead.
This is not the first time there has been bad blood between the two clubs regarding transfers.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp tried to sign Craig Bellamy a year ago from the Hammers but chief executive Scott Duxbury vowed never to sell players to the club's 'local rivals', and the Welshman moved to Manchester City.
Sullivan and fellow co-owner David Gold have admitted their desire to strengthen their strikeforce, and are expected to complete a deal for Blackburn's Benni McCarthy in the coming days.
However, Sullivan has been left fuming over Spurs' attempt to pinch Gudjohnsen from under their nose.
"We thought we had a deal and the player had even had a medical," he said.
"We then heard that Tottenham were trying to speak to the player.
"I can't say I am happy about it but I believe in Karma and what goes around, comes around."
Spurs already have four strikers in Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch, Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko, but the future of the latter remains in doubt.
Redknapp confirmed his interest in Gudjohnsen immediately after the 2-0 win over Fulham on Tuesday evening.
