Scott Parker believes Tottenham team-mate Kyle Walker has all the attributes to justify his status as a star in the making.

'Fantastic' full-back earns praise from Spurs colleague

Scott Parker believes Tottenham team-mate Kyle Walker has all the attributes to justify his status as a star in the making. Full-back Walker underlined his emergence with a long-range winner in Spurs' North London derby victory over Arsenal prior to the international break. And since arriving at White Hart Lane this summer, Parker, who has been on England duty with his club colleague in the past week, has been impressed with what he has seen of the 21-year-old. "Since I have been at Tottenham, Kyle has really stood out," the midfielder told Spurs' official website.

Energy

"He is a fantastic player. He is young. He has bundles of energy and is very quick. "He scored a very good goal last weekend but his performances before that were really good." Walker spent time on loan at both QPR and Aston Villa last season, but he has played eight times for Tottenham in the current campaign. This summer, a number of clubs were again interested signing the attacking full-back, who has declined an invite to be involved in England Under 21's European Championship qualifier in Norway on Monday night because his partner is due to give birth. But Spurs boss Harry Redknapp was adamant Walker was ready for his first team.
