Spurs boss has been advised to take rest for a month

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that he has been advised to stay away from football for "four to five weeks" but he hopes to be back in action before then. Redknapp underwent heart surgery on Wednesday and had two stents inserted to unblock coronary arteries. The 64-year-old was not available for dug-out duty for Spurs' Europa League Group A clash against Rubin Kazan on Thursday that ended in a 1-0 win for the Russian hosts. The former Southampton and Portsmouth boss also missed his team's 3-1 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League on Sunday and admits that he has been asked to remain away from the touchline for more than a month. "I have got to listen to what the doctors tell me and not get too stressed out," he told Sky Sports News. "Stress is what causes most of the problems anyway. "I will be fine, I have just got to take my time and when I am ready to come back and get on with it but not before I get the go-ahead from the people in charge. "They have said I shouldn't even think about football for four to five weeks and get myself stressed. "I will see how I go but I hope to be back before then." Spurs have a 15-day break now because of their international break and will be back in action on 21st November when they host Aston Villa at White Hart Lane.
