Harry Redknapp is looking to send those on the fringes of his Tottenham squad out on loan, with Jake Livermore attracting top flight interest.
With Spurs having slipped out of the Europa League, many of those on the outside looking in will see first-team opportunities limited in the New Year.
Youngsters such as Livermore have been regularly involved in the senior set-up this term, but they need games if they are to develop further.
Redknapp accepts as much and admits he is open to loan offers.
Livermore could be sent to a Premier League rival, while the likes of Andros Townsend are likely to head for the Football League.
"We're not going to let any of the players that we want to keep go in January, but I'm going to let some lads go out on loan," said Redknapp.
"Some of the young kids can go out on loan now and play. It will do them good.
Specialised
"I've already had Premier League clubs wanting to loan Jake, but I don't know if I will loan him out because at the moment we've only got Scott Parker, Luka Modric and Sandro.
"We're not overloaded in the midfield at the moment, with Tom Huddlestone out injured. If you include Jake we've only really got four specialised central midfield players.
"It might be difficult but there's been a couple of Premier League clubs wanting to loan Jake. And the other lads, people like Andros Townsend, we'll get them out to the Championship or wherever to play."
Redknapp says he enjoyed working with a youthful side during Spurs' Europa League campaign and acknowledges that he must do what is right for the next generation of talent at White Hart Lane.
"When I got on the coach [in Dublin] last week, I said to the lads who worked with us, 'I shall miss it'," he said.
"I enjoyed it, they're good nights in Europe, going away from home. It's something different with a different group of players, and it's been a great experience for them - people like Tom Carroll, who was on loan at Leyton Orient last year.
"He's had a smashing run in Europe. It's been brilliant for Tom and he's a great kid as well. I'm pleased for him. Harry Kane scored last week, and he was on loan at the Os last year as well.
"It was a great experience for those kids to play. We're not in a reserve league anymore, so getting games into players is difficult."
