Premier League: Mauricio Pochettino says Christian Eriksen's Denmark form not his problem

Maurico Pochettino has defended Christian Eriksen after the midfielder was criticised by his national manager.

Denmark boss Morten Olsen questioned Eriksen in the wake of his side's defeat to Portugal in this week's European Qualifiers, calling on his playmaker to have more influence in the "brutal world" of international football.

But speaking ahead of Spurs' trip to Manchester City, Pochettino showed little interest in Olsen's opinion.

"It's his (Olsen's) problem, not my problem," Pochettino said. "My problem is to keep my players at a good level.

"I am very happy with Christian Eriksen. He's a very good professional. His commitment with the team, with the club, is full. I think he's consistent and I'm happy with his performances this season."
