Blackburn Rovers made it two signings in a day on Wednesday when they completed a two and a half year deal for defender Elliott Ward.

The Championship side had earlier signed forward Danny Graham on loan from Sunderland for the remainder of the campaign.

The 31-year-old Ward played for Blackburn boss Paul Lambert during his time at Norwich and is delighted to have been reunited with the manager.

"It has been a busy few days to try and get it done, but I'm really pleased and I can't wait to get started training and crack on," he told the Blackburn website.

"I'm looking forward to putting on the shirt and hopefully being involved.

"Paul Lambert demands standards and he definitely brought mine up a few notches at Norwich and that's something I want to get back to on a regular basis."

Ward came through the ranks at West Ham, before moving on to Coventry, where he made over 100 appearances, Norwich and Bournemouth.

He spent time on loan at Nottingham Forest before joining Bournemouth in the summer of 2013 but suffered an injury in the second half of the following season.

He has spent much of this season on loan at Huddersfield and his Bournemouth deal was cancelled prior to the announcement of his Blackburn deal.
