Former Blackburn defender Gordon Greer has returned to the club on a one-year contract.
The 35-year-old, who made one appearance for Rovers during his first spell at Ewood Park between 2001 and 2003, left Championship rivals Brighton at the end of last season.
Greer was a free agent and has joined Blackburn following a trial, in which he played in the pre-season friendlies against Brighton and Girona.
The Scotland international has also had spells at Clyde, Stockport, Kilmarnock, Doncaster and Swindon.
He made 234 appearances in his six years at Brighton and captained the Amex Stadium club, who lost to Sheffield Wednesday in last season's play-off semi-finals.
