Team news
Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray has no new injury concerns ahead of his side's Ewood Park clash with Stoke. Sam Gallagher is likely to be pushing for a starting place after recovering from a groin strain to make the bench for Saturday's draw at Brentford.
Joe Rankin-Costello could also be pushing to feature after making a good recovery from a hamstring injury. Bradley Dack, Lewis Holtby and Corry Evans remain long-term absentees for Mowbray's side.
Like Mowbray, Stoke manager Michael O'Neill has no new injury concerns as he looks to build on the 2-0 win over Cardiff. Captain Ryan Shawcross is back in training but the game is expected to come too soon for him.
James McClean, Thibaud Verlinden and Stephen Ward all remain sidelined for the Potters. However, there is better news for O'Neill as defender Liam Lindsay is set to return to the fray following his recent injury setback.
Recent form
As they climb towards the Championship play-off places, Blackburn are putting together an encouraging run of form, having suffered one defeat in their last six outings. A 2-2 draw with Brentford on Saturday denied them a third straight win.
Stoke remain as one of the division's clubs in danger of relegation, but earned a valuable three points with a 2-0 home win over Cardiff at the weekend after two defeats on the bounce.
Latest highlights
Opta stats
Blackburn are looking to complete a league double over Stoke for the first time since the 1989-90 season.
Stoke have won their last three away league matches against Blackburn, having won just two of their previous 18 such visits before this run.
Only Wigan (31) have dropped more points from winning positions in the Championship this season than Blackburn Rovers (23), though they have only suffered one defeat in their last eight games (W4 D3).
Stoke have lost their last two away league games, conceding four goals each time. The last Championship side to ship 4+ goals in three consecutive away games was Bolton Wanderers in February 2015.
Blackburn striker Adam Armstrong's two goals at Brentford last time out took him onto 11 goals in 34 Championship games this season, more than double the number he bagged in 44 appearances last season (5).
