Rovers striker unhappy at lack of playing time

Nikola Kalinic's agent insists the striker could be forced to leave Blackburn Rovers in the summer due to his lack of playing time. The Croatia international has not played in Rovers' last three matches and did not even make the squad for last weekend's 0-0 draw at Arsenal. Kalinic remains a regular at international level and finds it hard representing his country and barely having any time at club level. The 23-year-old is happy at Ewood Park, but his agent Tomislav Erceg has admitted that the striker will consider his future in the summer if the situation fails to improve.

Not easy

"It has not been easy for Nikola and we don't know what has happened because last month he played for a strong Croatian team but he has not played a second for Blackburn," said Erceg told the Lancashire Telegraph. "We are not even talking about other clubs now though because he is contracted with Blackburn and wants to concentrate on helping the club out of a difficult position. "He likes Blackburn Rovers and is happy here but he needs to play. He is a young player who is very confident about what he can do and we will have to see what happens in the summer. "We hope he will play and stay but if he does not play he might have to change clubs. We will speak with the club in the summer but until then there is no problem and he will keep working hard to help the club. "Obviously there are clubs who would want him but they are not even in our thoughts at the moment."
