Steve Clarke confirmed as Roberto Di Matteo's No 2 at Aston Villa

New Aston Villa manager Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed Steve Clarke as his assistant.
Clarke, who was sacked as Reading boss in December, has extensive experience in the game.
He managed West Brom and worked as a No 2 with Chelsea, Newcastle, West Ham and Liverpool.
Kevin Bond, formerly of Tottenham, Portsmouth, Newcastle, Southampton, Bournemouth and QPR, is Villa's new first-team coach.
The club announced Italian Massimo Battara has arrived as goalkeeping coach after spells at Napoli, Fiorentina, Inter Milan, Manchester City and Schalke, with compatriot Massimiliano Marchesi the new fitness coach.
