Scott Hogan's ankle injury concerning Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce

Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan will undergo scans on Tuesday after he was stretchered off with an ankle injury at Newcastle on Monday.
The 24-year-old, who signed in a £12m deal from Brentford in January, landed awkwardly on the joint and looked in considerable pain as he was taken from the field in the 88th minute.
Villa boss Steve Bruce is preparing himself for bad news despite claiming Hogan, who has a history of knee injuries, is more optimistic.
"Our night was compounded with Scotty, who looks as if he's turned his ankle," Bruce said after a 2-0 loss at St James' Park, live on Sky Sports 1HD.
"The kid doesn't think it's as serious as it looks but, until he's had a scan and x-ray in the next 48 hours or so, we won't know more.
"Fingers crossed it's not bad but I think it will be bad enough."
Hogan returned from two cruciate ligament injuries in the space of two years at Brentford to score 21 Championship goals for the club before joining Villa, for whom he is yet to find the net.
