Solano's Boca dream
Nolberto Solano has admitted he would like to play at Boca Juniors again.
Aston Villa favourite Nolberto Solano has admitted he would like to play at Boca Juniors again before ending his playing career.
The Peru international scored a splendid free kick during the Carling Cup win against Queens Park Rangers in midweek to milk the acclaim of the Villa Park faithful.
The midfielder had also been a crowd pleaser at Newcastle United, but he harbours long-term ambitions to represent Boca, a club he played for in the 1997/98 season, in Argentina.
"It would please me to return to Boca because it grates that I left without helping them become champions of Argentina," he told a South American radio station. "And due to the good times they gave me.
"It is a pride for any player to play for Boca for everything the club represents.
"But I see difficulties that a player older than 30 can play there. It is a little complicated.
"Boca are not a team where one can say I am going to finish my career there.
"Boca require more, a champion in everything, as they always aim to win international trophies."
The 29-year-old joined Boca from Sporting Cristal, a club from his homeland.
