Striker also delighted to sign new contract at Aston Villa

Austrian striker Andreas Weimann has joined Watford on loan until January after signing a new contract at Aston Villa. Weimann spent the second half of last season with the Hornets and scored four goals in 18 Championship appearances during his time at Vicarage Road. He has now rejoined the club until the New Year to gain further first-team experience after making just three substitute appearances for Villa. Prior to heading back to Watford, the 20-year-old agreed an extension at Villa until 2014 and he is delighted to have been rewarded by the Premier League club. "It's great," he told the club's official website. "I was offered the new deal and I was over the moon to sign it. It was the only thing I wanted to do. "When the offer came up, I just wanted to sign. It was an easy decision to make. Villa are a fantastic club and I am delighted to continue my association with them. It's superb. "Over the last two weeks I have been training with the first team and the manager must have liked what he's seen of me to offer me the new deal. That's fantastic. "I have three years now and I hope, by the end of it, to be a regular first-team player for Aston Villa. That's the aim. I am just going to do my best."
