Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman has agreed to extend his stay by signing a new four-year deal.
The 19-year-old made 12 appearances on loan at Crawley Town last season, before an injury to Tim Krul meant he was recalled from his loan spell.
Woodman's rise to prominence has continued. He was part of the England team that reached the semi-finals of the European U19 Championships earlier this summer.
"I'm delighted," he told the club's official website. "I've been at this club for five years and I do consider this place home now.
"It's a great moment for me and my family to continue the journey with Newcastle and sign for four more years."
Newcastle open their Championship campaign on Friday at Fulham, live on Sky Sports 1 HD from 7pm.
