David Silva has claimed that Manchester City are improving every day and are a work in progress under Pep Guardiola.
Sunday saw Silva and his team-mates defeat West Ham 3-1 at the Eithad Stadium to maintain a 100 per cent record in the new campaign, having already seen off Sunderland and Stoke respectively.
Silva, 30, said afterwards that City are getting better game-on-game and are working towards Guardiola's preferred style of play.
"The team is improving every game, we're showing that on the pitch," said the Spain international.
"We created a lot of goalscoring opportunities and we hope to keep improving.
"We have our own style. We have good players who like to have the ball, and we also have fast players so we can play on the counter. I think we're improving every day and that's good for the team."
Silva has now linked up with the Spain squad for a friendly fixture with Belgium on September 1 and a World Cup qualifying game at home to Liechtenstein on September 5.
Manchester City next face a trip to Old Trafford to play neighbours Manchester United live on Sky Sports on September 10.
