Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus is surprised by how quickly he has adapted to English football.

The 19-year-old has started City's last three matches ahead of Sergio Aguero and has repaid Pep Guardiola's faith with three goals and two assists.

Jesus - who joined City in January after a deal was agreed with Brazilian side Palmeiras in the summer - has also caught the eye with his intense running and high work rate.

His blistering start to life in a City shirt has led to speculation about Aguero's future at the club, but the Brazilian is keen to avoid looking too far ahead.

When asked about his impact so far, Jesus told Manchester City's official website: "Yes, I am very surprised. Although I work a lot every single day, with everyone's support, in order for that to happen.

"I am very happy. Each day I feel that I am adjusting really well, with the support of everyone in the club.
