Captain Vincent Kompany expects to be playing at Manchester City next season.
The 33-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season but he is confident he and the club can agree terms for a new deal.
Kompany, who is in his 10th season at the Etihad Stadium, has been granted a testimonial match in September.
"Oh yeah, I'll be playing next season. All the other speculation is not in place at the moment. I'm part of the family now, so we'll deal with this situation as a family," Kompany told talkSPORT.
"We might agree or disagree but it won't change any of the relationships between me and the club.
"But it's not a priority right now, one guarantee is that I will be playing and trying to win more trophies.
"I enjoy facing the challenges in the Premier League and Champions League and I enjoy playing against and with players of such quality as well.
"When you get to the twilight of your career you enjoy it twice as much, and that's what I'm doing.
"Behind the scenes I just keep grafting on and it allows me to be able to come into games and enjoy doing a job for the team. I'm really enjoying every minute."
Kompany, who has captained City since 2011, is the most successful skipper in the club's history, having led his side to three Premier League titles, three League Cups and an FA Cup.
He has made 19 appearances this season for City in all competitions, starting 12 games.
