Vincent Kompany says he has complete faith in his Manchester City team-mates to prepare in the right way as they look to win the Premier League title for the second season in a row.

Captain Vincent Kompany expects to be playing at Manchester City next season.

The 33-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season but he is confident he and the club can agree terms for a new deal.

Kompany, who is in his 10th season at the Etihad Stadium, has been granted a testimonial match in September.

"Oh yeah, I'll be playing next season. All the other speculation is not in place at the moment. I'm part of the family now, so we'll deal with this situation as a family," Kompany told talkSPORT.

"We might agree or disagree but it won't change any of the relationships between me and the club.

"But it's not a priority right now, one guarantee is that I will be playing and trying to win more trophies.
