Harry Maguire being considered as Vincent Kompany replacement by Manchester City
Tuesday 21 May 2019 07:45, UK
Harry Maguire is one of a number of central defenders being considered by Manchester City to replace Vincent Kompany, Sky Sports News understands.
City may be looking for two defenders, with Nicolas Otamendi likely to leave the Etihad in search of a regular starting role.
Across the city, Manchester United are understood to be monitoring Maguire's situation - an interest which began last year under former manager Jose Mourinho.
To date, Leicester have not received any approaches from clubs keen to speak to the England defender - although they are expecting interest in Maguire, left-back Ben Chilwell and attacking midfielder James Maddison.
Leicester are keen to stress they neither wish nor need to sell any of their top players.
However, manager Brendan Rodgers has made it clear he only wants to work with players who want to be at the King Power stadium next season.
