MORRISON GOING NOWHERE - ROYLE
Reports have suggested that that the 30-year-old will soon leaving Maine Road but Royle believes that Morrison, who has helped in the club's rise from the Second Division, is a key member of his squad.
"Andy is a strong part of the squad we don't make profound decisions to let players like him go readily," said Royle.
"You have seen before that it is never say never in football because even players who are on the list were on the bench on Sunday. So how can you say someone has played their last game for the club."
Morrison was substituted during his side's 4-2 FA Cup defeat at Liverpool on Sunday, but Royle insists that this does not mean that he is on his way out of the club.
"We had to try and go for a goal and Jocky came off," explained Royle. "Everyone misconstrued what happened, he wasn't having a go at me he was just raging generally."
"He knows the game and he hadn't done badly, it was just a tactical decision to get an offensive player on and I think Tony Grant did fine when he came on."
