City likely to recall keeper following injury to Given
Manchester City are likely to recall goalkeeper David Gonzalez from his loan spell at Leeds United following the injury to Shay Given.
Republic of Ireland international Given is facing three months on the sidelines due to a shoulder problem and that leaves Stuart Taylor as the only experienced back-up to Joe Hart.
City boss Roberto Mancini does not want to leave himself short of options and confirmed he is set to cut short Gonzalez's time at Leeds.
Asked if he would recall Gonzalez from Leeds, Mancini said: "Probably. We can take David from Leeds - we don't have many more options."
Colombian shot-stopper Gonzalez joined Championship club Leeds on loan for the rest of the season before the close of the transfer window.
However, Gonzalez has not made an impression on Simon Grayson's first team and has yet to even appear on the substitutes' bench.
