Defender desperate for more first-team action
Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov has revealed he may quit the club due to a lack of first-team opportunities.
The Serbia international joined the Premier League champions from Italian outfit Lazio for £16million in July 2010.
He was a regular in his first season at the Etihad Stadium, making 39 appearances across all competitions.
However, the 26-year-old found chances limited in his second campaign following the arrival of Gael Clichy from Arsenal last summer.
Kolarov insists he is happy in Manchester but is concerned about the level of game time he may have next season.
Fringes
Should he remain on the fringes of the first team, then the former Red Star Belgrade youngster admits he would consider offers from elsewhere.
"I am in constant contact with my agent, so we will soon see what happens," he told
Corriere dello Sport.
"I am very happy here in Manchester but my goal is to play with greater regularity. I said it to [Roberto] Mancini.
"Money has nothing to do with it and I have no problem with wages.
"It's simply that I would like to be able to feel more of a regular."
